In our second installment of #Sullypalooza, Dr. Mike is called away on doctoring business in a nearby town, leaving the kids in Sully’s care.
Nothing could go wrong, right? Except everything goes wrong whenever Dr. Mike isn’t around to stop it! Sully’s becomes involved to try to stop a Dog Soldier attack, getting shot and becoming a target of blame in the process. We get the unlikely dream team of Colleen, the Reverend, and Jake to the rescue!

Please know this podcast is very addicting. I was forced to retire due to illness and the Dr. Quinn episodes have grown on me over the months of the pandemic. This podcast seems very credible with having done interviews with Jennifer Youngs and Beth Sullivan. In Sully’s Choice, Sully made it clear he obeyed the laws of the territory (ok-we will forget he was a deserter). I would love to hear an interview on who’s bright idea was it to turn the Sully character into a “deviant” in Seasons 5 and 6. I think had they kept the sensitive, law abiding Sully in tact (for the most part; LOL), Dr. Quinn could have aired well into the next generation of viewers as with the Canadian hit Murdoch Mysteries. Being the “Harriet Tubman” to the Cheyenne was a good plot line. However, Harriet Tubman was never jailed. The writers and powers to be erred big time. To those holding the Dr. Quinn reboot hostage, they owe the fans a new generation of Sully and Dr. Mike!

I basically don’t believe Sully when he says that he never broke a law in the territory…I mean, yeah right. Even aside from the desertion thing, I think he’s the kind of guy who’s broken a law here and there (although–aside from desertion–probably nothing big yet at this point). I love that you call him a deviant for his later years–I may have to start using that term! He pretty much drives me crazy when he is committing crimes behind Dr. Mike’s back and acting like it’s something he should be doing. Even Cloud Dancing advises against it because Sully should think of his family! Micheala is also a little too quick to forgive that transgression.
